Between the majestic Rhinog Mountains and one of the world’s most beautiful beaches lies Harlech – a town famous for its medieval Castle.
Over the next year the people of Harlech are hosting the Fire and Sea Festival - Gŵyl Tân a Môr and invite you to join them. Discover the legend of Meirion and his struggle to harness the power of the magical Harlech Torc.
It all starts in the town at 5pm on Saturday 2nd December 2017 at Lower Bron Y Griag car park with a festival procession of Welsh music, dance and lanterns. When the procession reaches the castle there will be storytelling (in Welsh and English), fire sculpture, Welsh music and more.
Also on offer that evening will be late night Christmas shopping in the town. Find that unique gift made locally by one of our craftspeople, explore our specialist shops and sample Welsh food and drink in our wonderful cafés. The streets will offer you entertainment as you shop with carols, a silver band and choir. There will also be the chance to see and talk to Santa.
